|
|
Hi folks, I need a pair of footpeg plates that i can convert to rider use only - i.e no pillion footpeg (either drilled out or filled in/welded) but that i can still use my panniers.
reason: im converting my bike to single seat only for cheaper registration, and it requires a "permanent" conversion - i have the single seat from an ex-Police bike, but now need to convert "permanently" my footpegs.
Im thinking of keeping the originals and buying another set on fleabay
my question is - can i get a set of older K100RS? do the K1100LT fit as well?
i still want to use my pannier mounts as well, im finding getting sets of K1100RS is either hard/expensive.
Any advice would be appreciated! |

Just remove the rear pegs. All classic Ks have rear pegs so your'e out of luck if your'e looking for something without rear peg mounts. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I simply unbolted the rear pegs from my K11 LT, and fitted a 10mm diameter dome-head rubber blanking plug - it looks fine
UK insurance providers offer better rates to riders who do not carry a pillion, and the easy way to discourage random requests for 'a quick lift home' is to remove the rear pegs.
You do have to put them back for the UK MOT test, unless you also fit a single (police) saddle.
The footpeg/damping assembly changed around the time of the ABS I-II swap.
The parts listed on the fiche sites are different for the '93 and '94 models, whether this is cosmetic or more significant, the senior members can best advise. _________________ C1 200 (2001)

Earlier ABS I bikes have 3 holes per side on the bracket - the third being for the front of the ABS modulator. ABS II bikes don't have the external modulators so only have two per side. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I have an extra set of foot plates. I think they even have foot pegs on them. If you are interested in a set please let me know. I am located in New Jersey. I am not sure where you are located.
