Ok, I have read the threads on the ABS. I have a 97 LT. My ABS may start to alternate, then the right is bright and the left is a bit dimmer, but they stay on continuously. Once in awhile, they will alternate again, then go back to solids...I replaced the relay last fall. What else should I look for? Is it bad wiring?
And the ABS definitely DOES NOT work....

My first thought would be to check the connector at the back of the instrument pod.
Second thought would be to check for any ABS fault codes/reset system.

I have tried the "reset" trick several times...no sucess. I don't even get fault codes. I will check the connector tomorrow... _________________ 1997 K1100LT Mine...ALL MINE! |

Third I'd check the connector at the ABS module itself, pull it and reseat it.
Chassis ground connections? Clean, not broken.
Just ideas.

Have you verified that your ABS switch on the dash is good? The reset will never work if that switch is bad or the wires are broken.
You SHOULD see a fault. Are you using a 12V LED to read the codes?

Yes I am using a 12v led. When the lights are alternating, I hit the abs switch and the light goes solid (like it should). THen for some reason, the left gets bright and solid and right get dim and solid! aaarrrrggghhhh
