I picked this bike up for a client last week. After a good inspection, I rode it back to Atlanta via SR129 aka the Dragon!!

The bike is in good condition (A-) has minor surface corosion on the bolts, the front rotors are at min, and there were no real service records, only from 33K-39K with a spline service done. Everthing I expected on a 40K bike....

Service records are a big deal in my opinion, and is worth $500 more on a bike with good records. To overcome this I recomended to the new owner to do a 12K service ASAP and the front brakes in the next 6 months. Its never to late to start a service log!

Rob(the new owner) and my son on the K1100RS.....Up to this moment Rob had only seen pics of this bike, and was excited about delivery of his new ride. I had to keep this bike in my shop for a few days and almost kept the bike for myself!!!

Excellent bike - will do the new owner proud. I do like that colour scheme.

I wouldn't let the side of the saddlebag hang like that with any weight in the shell. It weakens the rivets on the retaining strap. You can get a replacement for about $10, but for how long? Plus it's a royal PITA opening the bag until you get it replaced. I wish they'd put those straps on both sides.

Just curious, what year is that RS?

That is a beautiful bike. IMO there are not too many 10+ year old bike designs that still look that nice.
