Drake - when I got the Hyperlites - I got the ones with 16 LEDs per side - they also make smaller ones with 8 per side - obviously, those aren't nearly as bright. I think it was worth it to spend a few more $ for the brighter ones. _________________ Jim

I think mine are the 8 LED version. I've got them on both the LT and RS. Both of mine were looted form parts bikes so I didn't have much choice - but the price was right. There's also the issue that since mine are older, the LED technology means they're probably not as bright as yours.
But just wait until you see my DIY ones - you'll be jealous, I promise. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

OK, they're finished. Here's a video of the bench test. (I won't be putting the lens back on the bike until the weekend.) My digital camera sucks - they look orange in the video but are red in real life. The flasher module can be set to flash for 3 seconds or 6 seconds - I chose 3 seconds for now.
World premier! Quackerlites!

I barely managed to mount and wire a set of motolights. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

The wiring of this is VERY easy, as in V-E-R-Y easy. Don't let that discourage you if you're interested in doing this. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks Mr. Duck,
I bought the LEDs and installed them today. I'll put the rear alert blinker in when I receive it. I can't wait until dark to see how much brighter they are.
I thought about using a couple for running lights and the remaining two for brake lights. Do you think it's best to use them all for the brakes?

It's up to you. And easy to switch them back and forth. My personal repference is to have my brake lights stand out as much as possible which is why I used both in each side for the brake light. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
