Here's a shot of me and the brick on my first morning camping, after buying the bike in Ottawa. 7 days later, I arrived on Vancouver Island, just 1 1/2 hours from home.

OK, here's my photo. Don't throw any bricks at me, but that is an H-D I rented last year in Salt Lake and is the only pic I have of me and a bike. Took a 3 day ride from Salt Lake down through 3 N.P.s- Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion. Nice ride

Here's what I'm riding now. I checked out the photos of the earlier HM get together and am hoping to get up there for the next one, but wont know until about a month or so prior. Looks like a fun group.

I'll say it again - that is a very sharp looking bike!

If it looks like you might be able to make it to HM, let me know. I think a few others will likely opt in next year sometime.

No this is not me thank christ, its Francis Edwin Birtles, he was an Australian motoring adventurer back in the early 1900's, I'm a bit of a fan!

This is me with my 1981 R100rs a few years back, bloody good old bike it was, reliable as ever!!

Plus me and my gorgeous wife of 15 years, missing from pic are our 2 kids, dog, cat, budgie and every other standard issue Aussie household pet..

This is my latest project 1993 K1100LT - 152,000kms purchased 22nd March 2013

Birtles was quite incredible. There's a newish book out about him and someone recently recreate some of his trips across OZ. An awesome bit of our history!

BTW looks like I need to get some pets, we only have cockroaches, rats and snakes here. Here's one that was on the door a few weeks ago, complete with a rat as luggage....
