Or for only $20:

Doesn't work with gel from what I know but since I don't have any gel batteries.....
OPIOTNAL: Put a BMW plug (a.ka. Powerlet plug) on that and you're good to go. (I put 2A fuses in mine just to be safe.) _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The BMW unit is the exact same thing, only gray in color.
It checks the charging system too.
Interestingly, my old BMW gel charger showed my battery 100% charged.
The Fronius unit showed 1/2 charge and took about an hour to get to full charge?
I am certainly not an expert on these things, and I can't say if the charger is worth 300 dollars. I was able to get a good deal on mine and replaced both my old 3amp BMW charger and BMW gel charger for the above unit. My luck I'll have a dead battery in the Spring!!! _________________ Dom |

That'll buy three new batteries.
(Just an observation.) _________________ 93 LT (x2)

It sure would. I picked mine up at dealer cost, which helped a lot. I am a sucker for tools, I have to stay at my desk when the Snap On truck pulls in at work. Otherwise I 'll go bankrupt buying tools. _________________ Dom |
