Have noticed the price of these k s are coming down considerably as the new 1300 has arrived . Still love me k1100 but its getting tempting from what I've read they are a nice ride . Have heard the odd story of gearboxes letting go and clutch problems.Wondering if anybody knows what they are like as far as reliability goes. The bricks are almost indestuctable . I'm sure the upright in line layout being much lighter and producing a lot more hp must have a much shorter useby date. Anybody know what sort of mileage there good for or any problems they suffer.PS Its still a Bmw and still a k series _________________ 92k1100 lt with sidecar. 93K1100 CAFE..86K75C.95 k1100lt |

No idea myself, but you might find some of the links at http://www.bmwk1200s.com/ridefast.htm useful sources of info. And doubtless there will be others here a bit more knowledgeable than me _________________ David, owner of:
