Well after years of searching for a Ducati 907, I found this one in my town(of all places) and was near perfect. By taking a 906 and putting the 851 engine, wheels, brakes and suspension. The 907ie was the best attempt by the Italians to compete with the Germans. And as history showed, was no match against the mighty K11. However, It is a stelar ride by its own right.

I hav'nt had the chance to give it a good ride, but it seems to be a throaty, clutch rattling, Desmo that is actually comfortable.

Nice looking ride!

I do know the Desmo riders are every bit as zealous as the BMW guys.

(hopefully not as uptight)

Yeah, they are. Ive always thought a Duc is a great second bike. Valves, chains, cam belts, typically uncomfortable, no hard bags, heated grips.....ect....

This 907 was the last year '92, the K1 came in '89-'90, so the the 906 was just not a factor and the 907 was too little to late.

The quality of the K1 is far superior to the 907.(IMO) And thats why you can get an A+ 907 for half the price of a K1. On a twisty road, it would be a great race I bet.

After 2.1 miles....I have started a major service on the Ducati and let me tell you....its a bitch. and the routine service schedule is 1800 miles!!! thats at least 4 hours of work per service. Now ducati has lightened the service schedule to 3000, and 6000 on all '08 models, but the mecahics are saying its to dependant on how the bike is ridden. Im thinking this major service would cost around $1000 at the dealer....(300 in parts and 700 in labor)!!!! basically a Ducati is that ex girlfriend who's a smoke'in hot high maintenance bitch who screams like a banshee when, well you know......hahaha.....I suppose being married makes having a Ducati fun.

the engine is amazingly small and cranks out 95 ponies....

Belts?? every 12K!! valve service every 1800 miles!!

Rebuilt clutch master ready for a SS line.

got a good snow last night......empty pond getting a new drain next week.

the Motorsport getting a service and new tires, BT45's

I've heard Duc parts are getting rare as hen's teeth. No state side part houses? Shocked
