The route:

Elevation profile:

First off was a run up 74 - nice because there were no cars in front of me all of the way up the hill:

And the weather really sucked:

I stopped off at Larry Stonestreet's place to pick up a backup ABS I brain for the LT that I bought from him on ebay a few weeks ago. I forgot to take picutres of his two K100s.

Then I headed down 76 to Mount Palomar:

The start of South Grade Road up Mt. Palomar:

I rode up up South Grade Road(a.k.a. S6) and then down East Grade Road:

There was some snow on the side of the road at the top of East Grade Road:

It's a little hard to tell from the picture but from Eaast Grade Road I could see 30 miles all of the way to the ocean. (The bright hazy stuff at the top of the picture is the sun reflecting off of The Pacific.)

You can see some of the damage from the recent fires in the top of this picture:

Great view:

Then I rode 79 and 371, two nicely paved roads that meander through the high desert:

Last rays of the sun:

End of the day - riding into a rising full moon:

It was great day. Minimal traffic, great weather, good roads and nice views. Also nice to get out and ride some good roads without any weight on the back of the bike. Beemered

Great shots Drake.

2 Things:

1. Your Bagster eyelets are still not lined up.

2. That black Staintune looks badass.

1 - The one that matters is lined up - the gas cap.

2 - I should call it my Blacktune. Laughing

Hey Duck, when I was in Palm Spring In October my brother took me up 74 and ended up in Mountain Center and Idyllwil or however you spell it....and stopped at a restaurant in said town. If it is the same, nice road for a bike. We were in a cage and some of those drop offs were frightening especially the way my brother was driving. OY!!!!! I don't see him that often and I learned something more about him this trip. I don't want to drive with him too much. We then looped around and ended up on Route 10 I believe. Nice pictures. I am green with envy now. And 4 months to riding season. Maybe....
