Well, it was a toss up between installing the LEDs or doing some work on someone's website for money - guess what won the toss Very Happy

Sometimes I get a bit bored with work. But gotta do a bit occasionally so I can afford to keep the K-bike in the manner it deserves. Oh, and beer; can't do without the beer Smile

The results speak for themselves : Fantastic

+1 from me also. Agree about the fairing, but it can be done without removing the plastic - after several removals of the instrument panel I have got quite good at it without taking the front of the fairing off.

Still took me 2 hours & 17 mins to put everything back together after i plugged it back in- a nice reminder when i uploaded the photo & looked at the clock Embarassed
Personally i blame being stone cold sober for the duration for the reason why it took all afternoon & into the evening to complete.
Think i scared the god botherers away for a while - the cussing was frequent. loud & creative Shocked

Wondered about that - I hoped you weren't working at some dog-awful hour of the morning Very Happy

just after fitting the set on the K1100LT.

Took about 1/2 an hour, but I am familiar with taking off the screen and clocks. (don't ask).

The kit is great, comes with 17 LEDs, and the instructions are idiot proof.

The light from the back-lights appears slightly brighter than standard filament bulbs, and looks slightly better. The option of different colour back-lights might be fun.

I would suggest buying a set (I think they came to €44 in all - postage to Ireland), and installing them when your next filament bulb blows (two of mine were gone)

All in all, a worthwhile upgrade.

I just finished putting a set on that I bought for Christmas for myself. What a difference. Never knew the clock had a light! Never knew my gauges had lights, both were blown from the time I got the bike.

The hardest part was getting the cluster off, but that really wasn't that bad in the end. Just time consuming. Getting it back together was a breeze.

Before (which doesn't look too bad)
