|
|
I have an alternator which came off a 'K' series bike, possibly an early K100 but I am not certain.
As far as I know it is still working (It was when it was removed from the K bike) but has not been fitted to a bike for many years, is there an easy way of checking to see if it is still producing power without finding a K75/K100 and bolting the thing on.
It has been in dry storage for at least 14 years, the rotor turn freely and the bearings sound sweet. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

You could check to see if any of your area motor parts shops test them.
I know here in the states some of our parts stores will offer alternator/starter testing in the store. _________________ Ride safe.

Yeah, but I think those are made to test belt-driven alternators where the K alternators are "cup" driven. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
