I have a 96 K1100RS. It's a joy to ride, but I don't know a ton about things mechanical, so caring for it gives me stress. I worry that I am going to break it!

Last year, when I went to get inspected, I was told I had a fork seal leak, or possibly a brake leak. Either way, I failed. As far as I know, there are no BMW mechanics near enough to me to access. I wonder if anyone here knows about these bikes and is willing to spend some time helping out a mechanical moron?

I am a teacher, and we start Spring Break tomorrow. If anyone is free during the daytime, I have the next two weeks off and I can be very flexible about work times. Weekends are a little trickier, as I need to shuttle kids to soccer and such, but I can do my best to match your free time.

I have a super cute puppy to get love from during breaks, and I tend to keep craft beer on hand. Smile

Any takers, or referrals to mechanics not too far from Chester Springs area in PA?

Thank you

Chuck

Any competent motorcycle mechanic who can read English (or German) should easily be able to replace the fork seals or brake leak on your bike.

Second that
I did them without taking them off the bike.
Brake seals bit trickier but any mechanic should be able.
I did them on a Burgman.
