Been off for a while ( airhead took precedence ) ... now back rejuvenating my k1100 RS. I am replacing the front brake discs, since the previous owners must have been doing stoppies....the inner and outer rings have about 1/8 - 5/32 “ of play between them. One of my older airhead friends told me that the attachment bolts may be single use. Parts fiche is not clear on this. Would like to verify that before I button it back up, and maybe get some fresh ones. Can anyone clarify this for me ?

I've not heard that these are single use.
The only ones that I have seen any information about being single use are the bolts for the clutch basket, but many have re-used them as well with no ill effects.
There are a number of bolts that require(per BMW at least) new thread locking compound when re-used.

The front rotor bolts can be really soft and their heads can strip even if you heat them and use a good Allen wrench. The dissimilar metals of the aluminum alloy wheel and steel bolts cause corrosion to build up in the threads.

If you strip the head then the best tool for removing them is a 13mm Irwin Bolt Grip. (It's like an Easy-Out but for bolt heads.)

I replace them with either stainless steel or titanium bolts and use anti-seize on the threads.

There's no mention of using thread locker in the BMW shop manual except for on the ABS ring bolts. (Page 34.9) Nor does the shop manual mention them as one-time use.

I wasn’t aware that the buttons were a wear item. That’s good to know. I did re use the bolts, since they came out ok with the use of a heat gun, but did use blue thread lock on them. New bolts on the abs ring and red loctite on those. Now I know for the “next one” .....
