Ok, I've always had trouble removing wire caps from the spark plugs, but this time I really did it. Broke a plug off inside the cap and cannot remove the remains.
Unless someone knows of a magic trick, I reckon a new wire(set) is in my future. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Bob - yeah - those caps are a pain!
If you still have the original wires, they're now 25 years old - couldn't hurt to replace them. _________________ Jim

Bob, let me take a look in my garage, I may have a new set(not oem) that I got with a "bundle" of parts I bought.
I have Realm's on both my bikes so I don't see myself using them anytime soon.....
If not, I know I have some left over stock wires I'm not using.... _________________ Ride safe.

When you install them, squirt a little dielectric grease in the cap so the rubber doesn't stick to the plug (also keeps moisture out). Makes them MUCH easier to remove next time.
On the OEM wires the metal caps have a tab with a hole in it I grip the tab with linesman's pliers and twist it to break it free, then hook in the hole and pull it straight off. _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

Yeeeaaaa, that doesn't always work...... I've had some of those tabs break on me. What a pia after that. _________________ Ride safe.

Yeah I actually had the cap twisting a little and pulled straight out with pliers. Top must have broken off with that move. Probably wiggling it a little too much.
Scott, PM me if you find anything.
Thanks guys for the replies. _________________ '93 K1100LT

I bought a set of Magnacore off eBay. The blue wires made the bike insignificantly faster! _________________ 2014 R1200RT Water Cooled

I put RED Magnecors on a Mystic Red K1100. It wheelies when I shift into fifth gear. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
