Hello there. Somehow, flying down rabbit holes of the internots for something K1100 related, I tripped on this establishment.

I live in northern Nevada for the last couple years now. Been off a bike for various reasons the last decade or so and finally had the chance to get a bike and back into riding. I've always been fascinated by BMWs but never had one. Always something else. Last Spring, a '96 K1100LT came up on Craigslist in the area and I was smitten. Looked great and the price was unexpectedly perfect (I had no idea I could afford a used beemer). 32K miles, well kept, years of maintenance records from the same dealer and different owners. I couldn't pass that up and am hooked on BMW for life now.

The riding up here is amazing compared to the previous decade of borrowing bikes and riding around Vegas in the miserable desert.

Anyhow, thank you for letting me in and looking forward to meeting y'all!

Welcome to the forum, Bruce. There's a lot of good info on the site.

If that bike is as good as it looks, you'll get a lot of miles out of it.

Thank you, Jim.

It needed a fair amount of seal work done about a month after I got it. Oily clutch too, so that was replaced. I had no complaints for that with a 21 year old bike, I imagine I'm going to be riding it for some time to come.
