Bridgestone BT30. Look around for rebates.
They're just as good as PR4s but cost less. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks for the info. I will check them out, and the rebate.

I just did some poking around. Bstone came out with a T31 in December.
Might mean you can get a good deal on T30s somewhere that's clearing out stock. I bought my last set at Jake Wilson.
Rebate thru 6/30:

What do you think about Avon, or dunlop? _________________ Dinos735 |

I don't like Dunlop so haven't even looked at them in years.
Avon used to make the Azaro which everybody gave great reviews and I liked but I don't know much about their current product line.
Over the past few years I've been very happy with both Michelin Pilot Roads and the Bridgestones. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those. I've ridden both VERY hard and not had issues.
But I'm just one rider out of many. You should look around to get more opinions.
Look at reviews from MC mags/sites and also see what people are saying on ADVrider. Reviews at MC Superstore are another place to look. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks Flying Duck "man"
I ran Dunlops on my K100 for years and rode them hard. I only managed 5000 miles on them . They were great in rain. They stuck really well. I don't baby them either.
My rides are on pavement and I feel you haven't had a ride unless you break 100 some where during it. (
I do appreciate the info, have checked in the Bridgstones , and the rebate ofters.
Looks like the oddball rear tire size is the problem with choices. (18" Huh?) _________________ Dinos735 |

BT 45s are ancient technology and they're bias ply, not radial. BT T30/31s are a much better choice. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

OK, I put my money where my mouth is. Just bought a pair of T30 EVOs for RS wheels. Chaparral had the best prices I found. $220.76 shipped for the pair with a $50 rebate so that nets out to about $171. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Bridgestone now has a $30 per tire rebate on the T31. I have PR3's with a nail in a well worn front. After a day of indecision, I bought a pair from Chaparral for $277. Dennis Kirk has same price, but one out of stock.
I most likely would have bought PR5's if they made the rear in our size. Decades dealing with tires on passenger cars, nothing beats a Michelin and I liked the PR3's that came on my bike.
PR3's are older tech and still cost more, so I went for the T31's.

I just put Pilot Road 5's on my '96RS...handle very nice.
If they wear anything like the Road 4's I'll be very happy, indeed. _________________ '20 R1250RS - The RS
