If your old one lasted 8 years, I'd buy one just like it.

Do you use a battery tender? If so, you might pay attention to what batteries it's appropriate for. Battery technology has changed considerably since K bikes were new. Using the wrong tender will cook a better. If, the AGM lasted 8 years, you got your money worth, I'd buy another.

I would suggest Motobatt. And I used a tender as well. Sold the bike and it was still fine. Would avoid BikeMaster, it died early.

I ruined 4 Odyssey batteries in a row - using the wrong charger. Supposedly, a Battery Tender does not put out enough power for an Odyssey. Rich has the magic touch!

I've given other chargers away - including Battery Tenders - and switched to Noco chargers - which seem to work very well with Odyssey - and just about everything else.

That said, I'm using Odyssey batteries in most of the bikes now.

Odyssey for me.

I've had no problems using them with Battery Tender Juniors.

My Westco batteries from Batteries+ last a good 4 or 5 years and work with my battery tender jr.
