So I had just replaced my fuel level sensor gasket which had been leaking and I was putting it all back together. I was tightening the 7mm nut of one electrode and the bolt sheared off and there is not enough bolt left to attach the electrode. I am looking for suggestions as I really am not too technical and I do not know what I am up againist. I am guessing I could remove the fuel pump and weld another bold onto the shortened one?
Help!!!! |

I would start by asking how many miles are on your K bike. If it has accumulated quite a few miles, why not replace the pump? The bike is now over 20 years old. Will your pump work for a few more years after you fix it? Maybe......
There are several new ones on eBay for under $50. This way the fix is done and you would have a new pump. _________________ John & Cathy

Thanks for the response, BMW Max had it listed at $496 so I was looking to repair it haha. So I looked online, is there a definite good or poor manufacturer or brand? EFI? I am not to knowledgeable, for $10-20 difference in price I will go with the better pump if I know what it is lol.
Cheers and thanks! |
