Was wondering if anyone here would happen to have the side panels or battery covers or whatever they are called for a 1997 k1100lt in the maroon color. I need both left and right. I tried scanning the for sale section but didn't see any. I inherited my grandfathers bike and just got it running after 11 years of garage rot and the last pieces I need are the side panels. They got robbed while my grandparents were camping one year. If you got something please let me know. Don't feel like paying full price for brand new ones.

eBay is your friend, and if it's an unusual color you may need to get them painted. When you buy one make sure the U shaped clip on the back at intact.

I have 1 blue one I believe is the right one in very good cond. would sell for $25. plus shipping

I have looked on eBay and can't find one. And if I get them painted, do I just take it to an auto body shop and they can do it? And I have been keeping an eye out for the clips. I have one but the clip is broke.

The "going" price on eBay is $25 to $50 for one with a broken clip, and close to $100 for a nice one with good clip. I paid $50 for a scratched cover (left) that had good clips.

I've seen some where someone made a new U clip, but I don't know how long they would last. Even with a broke clip it will stay on the bike when you ride it, but will be loose, and may (will) pop off when trailering it.
