Shaft came apart on the Highway... This shaft had about 85k mi on it. Splines were also about to their service limits.
The unhinged shaft put two bulges in the swingarm. Tore the inside of swingarm up so badly, it will need to be replaced. Also ruined the swingarm pivot pin....
New used swingarm ready to mount. Waiting on pivot pin and boot... |

YIKES! You don't mention it, so I guess it didn't lock up the wheel on you?

Yes John.. + another 700mi...
The rear end was doing some real funky stuff, but never locked up...felt like a blown rear tire... |
