Following procedure from Clymer manual one should supposedly just pull the fuel pipe (rail) straight away from the bike. With the electrical connectors unplugged I pulled pretty hard but it doesn't come loose. How hard are these to remove? Should I work on one end first or all at once? I feel like I'm missing something. The pipe has two bolts mounting the assembly to the block which I removed. Would it be best to remove the tie wraps holding the wires to the pipe?
Thanks. _________________ John

Well, it may not be the easiest. Especially if they haven't been removed before.
There should be some wire retaining clips on the rail connection to the injector, if you remove them 1st the rail may come off of the injectors easier.
Before you remove the injectors from the head, make sure you use some compressed air of cleaner of some kind to get any debris out of the holes 1st. That way it doesn't fall into the head when you pull the injector out, and it may help it come out easier. _________________ Ride safe.

Thanks Scott. Got em out. Just had to pull hard. Now, I'll send them off to Mr. Injector for cleaning. The engine was misfiring and I think its because I take a lot of short trips which I understand causes the injectors to foul. I do occasionally add injector cleaner to the fuel. I'd also note that a good hard fairly long ride yesterday beginning with a couple of good engine revs cleared the symptoms but after reading this thread (http://www.k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9263&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=misfire&start=15) yesterday I decided to have them cleaned just to be on the safe side. For what its worth Clymer says to remove the tank which I didn't do saving a bit of work. _________________ John

No "holes" on the 4V engines, just the 2Vs. The injectors mount into the
TB boots on the 4Vs. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
