I've just bought my first bike, a 94K11RS with 150,000km on it. I haven't ridden in about ten years and most of my riding has been in the Philippines on a Yamaha DT, so this thing feels big and scary. I'm on a steep learning curve, but pretty excited about getting out and riding.

Sorry about the quality of the photos, I will try to get some while I am out and about.

Welcome! Pretty bike, I love my RS great bike. The size never bothered me too much. I have found that keeping the tires at proper inflation really helps the feel and handling of the bike, so I am in the habit of checking pressures every day.

Love the blue! I'm going to paint mine this winter, can't decide between red or blue....

Blue is nice but Mystic Red ones are the fastest. Very Happy

The weight can be a little intimidating at first (LTs are much worse) but once you have any speed it becomes an asset and makes for a very solid ride.

Welcome to K11OG....

Yeah, she is heavy all right, I've already laid it over (nice and gently) trying to get it up onto the centre stand the day I bought it. I used the butt lift trick to stand her up again. So I guess "never been dropped" no longer applies, although my guess is that is not the first time she has had a lay down.

Plan on taking it out for a spin this afternoon.

Center stand tips:

Front wheel pointed straight ahead

Put in neutral

Lower center stand

Tilt it until both feet are on the ground

Use both foot pressure and lifting to get it on the stand (you really don't need to pull it back, that happens naturally)

I'm not sure about the overall speed differences between the colors Wink However, I can safely say that a KRS in Palmetto Green is one of the rarest Very Happy

Thanks for the welcome everyone and the tips, I will definitely keep and eye on the tyre pressure and am getting pretty good at getting her up on the centre stand, she is a heavy lump though.

I think that I need a fair bit more time in the saddle to get used to it.
