Great hiking around Hungry Mother....

Rydor, we love you brother......

Had a great time with everyone! Reality is a little sweeter knowing there are a bunch of lunatics out there like me!

At HM we don't just stand around, we really do ride.......

Of course there is always the new member- on the first ride of the weekend- trying to figure out how he ended up in the lunatic fringe, how he can navigate his way out and where the hell is a good place to eat. (welcome Chuck!)

Then there was the rare sighting of the ultra-elusive OTG. Having successfully migrated 3000 miles east- he failed in the search for lake trout.
Here he is seen contemplating raw beef, wearing his best bovine wrestling attire.

Then there were times when some of the very few sane folk were left to ask "you want to ride how many miles of loose, deep gravel?"

We were also treated to an appearance by Abreeze Travolta, star of Saturday Afternoon Fever.

WAIT a minute.......WHO let that silly little red bike into the party? Too friggin' loud, right Biscuit Fluffer? Embarassed

But all good things must come to an end. We leave you with a view of the BEST side of the K11OG.

Folks, as usual- not too much was usual. Thanks for the great time.

It all started with some charcoal, and a few lumps of apple wood:

Then a little secret rub, before:

And After:

And pulled:

There was a biscuit fluffer, so i heard:

Before the Saturday Morning ride:

And we did ride Saturday Morning:

Up to the Appalacian Trail:

Then to Damascus and lunch at a cute diner:

There was also a little wrenching, or electrical work at least:

Did I mention the part where the Biscuit Fluffer had to ride on the back of her OWN BIKE? What to they call riding on the back?

Yeah there was a "little" well groomed gravel road. Like crossing the great divide. KICKED UP A LITTE DUST:

So, my intro to OTG was him wanting something to "freshen up his undercarriage". Must be a Kalifonia thing. Sugerhill, the Biscuit Fluffer and I got him something from Ingles:

The Thursday ride went to Burke's Garden:

Where they have the directory of the town:

There was a fire every night:

And finaly home, where I washed off ten pounds of dirt, and a few pounds of rocks stuck to the front of the oil pan. Here is a picture of my clean K bike, I know you haven't ever seen the special factory option with the anodized titanium side covers. Just look up option FOBS on the BMW web page. It's a very rare option, makes the bike very fast:

Thanks for starting this pics thread.

Here's the better of mine...

The early birds get the lower bunks...

The annual trip to Burke's Garden

Big Dave makes an appearance.

WTF is that?

Fun times at Hungry Mother, inside and out.

A little exercise to burn off some of that meat!

The Peak of Molly's Knob, the destination.

Some mechanical issues...

The rest of the ride

A healthy walk to dinner for soup and salad.

Not so healthy lunch on the way home.

Great pix - thank you! Keep 'em coming. I think I have a few...

It was really good to see all of you again - and meet Chuck, the bearer of most excellent pulled pork and chili.

Looking forward to next year!

The K75RTP is trashed - interesting bike, unusual history - and has the unusual fairing extenders... It's been rode hard and put away wet since 2003...

The search continues. In the meantime, I'll be working on the venerable K11.

A few more off my iphone

The obligatory dinner shot from the first night.

The newly ordained Biscuit Fluffer stealing a spy shot of a usually very fast bike while Chuck looks at BF's K bike mods and is thinking WTF????

The restaurant in HMSP was finally open for us to sample their menu. My dinner- good. But we may be on their "DO NOT SERVE EVER AGAIN" blacklist after this. Laughing

A little stop before Happy Valley. We missed Shogs, Steverino, Rydor and OTG on that stretch Crying or Very sad
