I can't imagine you should have too many issues as long as it fits.
They may question any electronics in/on it if you have any comm system fitted to it. _________________ Ride safe.

I wonder if you could wear it while sitting.
That wouldn't be odd at all. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Last year Cathy and I did a fly and ride in California. We went out there to see our daughter, future SIL and OTG.
We did a big roller bag with our helmets, armored jackets and pants and boots.
We wrapped the jackets around our helmets inside the checked bag. They arrived (in both directions) without any problems.
In a couple of months I am going out there again to do a father/daughter long weekend. Trying to travel light and wondering about how to pack my helmet, jacket, pants and boots.
I'll probably do the same- checked baggage again plus a smaller carry on. The rental company will store my empty luggage until I return. _________________ John & Cathy

That's what I'm going to end up doing for our flight out West, John.
I have a big Motorcross gear bag with wheels and a handle. Should fit our stuff pretty well. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

thanks people,
I've flown with armored jackets etc. but it's the first time with a helmet.
Usually I wear my jacket, and fold it in the bin, the helmet I was thinking of putting in a backpack as carry on, but with camera and computer gear also it'll be heavy and I have 2 connecting flights.
Maybe the wrapping of helmet in checked luggage is the way to go.
still a week to make up my mind _________________ let's do it

Looking forward to this Dave.
What? 2-1/2 months.
Looks to be epic.
Will be great to meet Carolyn and spend the long weekend with both of you. _________________ John & Cathy
