I'm putting the wiring harness back on the bike and have managed to get the gauge cluster working after some issues with a faulty ignition switch. The problem I have now is no neutral light and no gear indicator. I really don't want to remove the swing arm again as I've just refitted the damn thing. Is there any basic testing I can do with a multimeter to determine if the switch is working or whether the problem is elsewhere? I'm not very experienced with wiring but I did check the connector on the harness and only got a reading from one pin when grounded.

thanks
Deush

The three yellow/xxxx wires is grounded in different pattern depending which gear that is selected.
As you have no function at all, I would first have checked if ground is present at the brown wire on the harness side on the switch connector.

She's dead Jim! Showing 5th when in 1st and 4th in neutral. If I ground the wires harness side it works so its defo the switch. I've just grounded them all to give a permanent neutral as my clutch switch also seems to be broken...therefore the only way I can start the bike.
