hangin onto that 550 but the little security screw which offers no security (just undo the mount) has been a pain. So on a rainy Sunday grabbed an M-2 screw...added 3 nuts... And topped with an 1/8 inch rubber cap.
Now can finger loosen in seconds to stow my old Zumo 550

Bob,
Undo the mount? That's why they sell this.

Or just replace the large black Ram wingnut with a hexnut. Then a quick grab thief needs a wrench.
IMHO, now you need to remove the Zumo whenever you stop and the bike is out of your sight for a minute or so.
Ask Gwen (aka Shoganai) about the fast GPS grab

Yep. Several ways to skin the cat! After having had my helmet and jacket stolen from the bike on Good Friday from a church parking lot a few years back I've made it a habit to secure my stuff when stopped for any period of time
Sad. Wish it were different. This allows a quick removal to stick in the trunk or even jacket pocket _________________ Thanks,
