Nothing special.
Just a nice tidy, standard RS on a coffee stop while being ridden 200 miles home from where I collected it.
One of the best bikes I've owned.

Hey, nice RS!
You have a relatively rare bike there- a '93 K-RS.
How many miles/kilometers on the odometer?
Take reasonable care of it and it will take you anywhere you want to go.

Hey that's my favorite color scheme too....sky blue with black final drive.
Would look amazing with black rims. I painted the rims on my LT, I thought it looked badass.

Yes that's right, it is a 93
How are you able to tell
She's done 40,000 miles (I've done 2000 of those)
It runs perfectly, and everything works.
Oh except one thing.
The rev counter seems to have a mind of it's own.
Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, but I call that character

Interesting because I don't much care for the colour, but everyone else loves it.
I'm planning on changing it |

Easy to tell a '93.
Of all the K100RS, K100RS4V and K1100RS bikes, the '93 was the first year with a full fairing that hides the engine.
And it was the last year for ABS I (the little black ABS "cans" above the footpegs). ABS II on the '94+ K1100RS eliminated those.
I used to have a '93 K-RS but currently ride a '92 K100RS4V
Pictures of both of my bikes are at the bottom of this thread: http://k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12402

Well I've learned something today
To be honest I much prefer the older bikes fairing.
It looks so much nicer with the block partly exposed.
I have even considered sourcing the side panels and bellypan and converting mine.
I'm assuming it would all bolt on, and the nose piece looks like the same part.
I'm from the UK in Plymouth |

I'm with you there. I have a '94 RS with the full belly, but I prefer the exposed brick as well. I am seriously considering putting mine into sidecar tug duty, so I may just do that to simplify things.
Nice ride...and a belated welcome to the asylum. _________________ Niemand

A nice bike you have there. I have an identical one , model, year and colour down here on the far side of the world. I've owned her for about fifteen years now and have found it to be just a great old machine.I hope you have as much fun with yours as mine has given me.

Yes, I agree, it's a great bike.
To be honest, I bought mine as a second bike, to keep the war and tear off my main bike, which is a Yamaha VMAX generation two.
I'd thought I'd just buy it, put it away and forget about it till the weather was bad but it's taken over to the point where even on nice days, I use it more often, and am now thinking of selling the Max.
Apart from accellerating like a jet plane, the BMW does most things as well as the Max, and a lot of things better.
Here's my Max by the way.
Awesome as awsome can be, (weather permitting)

Perfect.

I do enjoy riding on fine Winters days, but I am grateful for those heated grips.
I never really noticed till I looked at the photo I just posted up here, but that really is one big ass rear mudguard
