New purchase.
1977 R100/7
Owner said it ran a few years back but then lost spark. Brakes are nil, throttle sticks, forks are shot and who knows what else.
Going to lose the flying maxi-pad seat and hideous top case and turn it into a sweet cafe racer.
Fuck, I can't believe I bought another BMW. Wtf am I thinking?

Damn, I leave you alone for what, 2 months, and you return to the dark side.
What were you thinking....... An R bike????
Hey, remember- it doesn't have to be WFO all the time- be nice to this BMW.
You are now the more mature OTG. Yeah right
Actually, nice bike Dave. Good luck with it. _________________ John & Cathy

Air cooled
No ABS
No computers
Simple but effective
Should be a great ride!
We WILL want pictures once it is a runner (and you ditch the seat and top box wart) _________________ John & Cathy

Tube type tires?
Drum brake rear?
Twin rear shocks.
I can't tell from the pics, but is it a shaft drive?
I'm betting you will make it a sweet ride. _________________ Ride safe.

!!
HEY OTG... Welcome back !
The R100/7 looks like it has great potential, I know others in the Airhead Club that have made Cafe Racers from R100's.. I also have a R100/7 put together from pieces found here and there,, but it runs great in any weather and the best part is that IF it craps out far from home., you can fix it with a rock and a stick and still ride home. The weak spots are the 'rubber mounted diode boards' and the very hoaky Advance mechanism... timing is by points as you probably already know!
If you want to meet some 'seat of the pants' impov mechanics, come on over to MicaPeak and select Airheads...
Meanwhile... GREAT to have you back... see you at HM right ?
Ride safe........// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers
