N41EF,

Holee krap....

You are prepping lots of great food.

Understand that we are, for the most part, very laid back at HM get togethers

Can't wait to meet you.

So sounds like N41EF has the food covered and then some! Laughing

This picture says it all...

This movie, the only one so far of HM, says the rest if you've got a few minutes and enjoy some mountain roads. (sorry it's not on a K)

N41EF

Dude!
This is going to AWESOME!!!

You sure know how to make an entrance!

So, in general, I head up cooking two meals. One breakfast on sausage gravy and home made biscuits and scrambled eggs.
And one spaghetti dinner in honor of our lost member Phil.

You have really stepped up and took a load off of me.

My life is crazy busy right now and I was sweating the other meals.
So thank you!

I also haul down some small supplies like spices, coffee and the like.
I'll also bring quality cooking tools, pots and stuff.

.

Wow; I might just have to roll out with a case of beer & hang out & eat! N41EF, I've got a well-seasoned Char-Griller Super Pro; sounds like you've got things pretty well covered this time around but I could drag it over to the lodge if need be (I'm the local dude who lives close to the park).
Also, we've got 35 acres & horses & cows & goats & chickens & dogs & cats so if anybody wants a break from riding (or eating) to do a farm tour lemme know. I can also supply some kickass eggs.

Well if you are making spaghetti, I have venison spicy italian sausage that is ground and in 1.5 pound packages. Can bring one of those too.

I have a Friend who hunts, and Aiken, SC has the longest gun deer season in the country.

I smoke on a big green egg, digital temp controller and monitors. Lit it at 7am, meat on 7:30, and took it off at 5pm, wrapped in foil then in a cooler for an hour. Let it cool a bit, shredded, vac bagged and frozen for the trip. I did one Butt for HM, and one for an employee event I'm hosting. Even just grilling dogs and buyers I do two oe three meals at a time.

Yeah, I like to eat, but I've never gotten the hang of sausage gravy.

On another note, who's going to make all this rain and storms stop?

Thanks for the sausage offer, but I've got that covered.
I understand. There'll be bacon and eggs for those that don't do gravy.

Hey BigDave, we'll take you up one the egg offer. It would nice to serve some of your "kickass eggs". I think 2 dozen would do.

I personally would love to see your farm!

Hey John-CDT, you want to head-up the pancake breakfast?

Pancake are me.....I'm on it.

I'll bring the "just add water" pancake mix plus some syrup.

Which day for pancakes?

I was going to bring English muffins, butter and jelly. Would that be good for Thursday morning or for a quick breakfast on Sunday when everyone is heading out?

The current weather forecast is looking a bit cool and wet for later next week...

Might be time to get that better rain suit I've been looking at...

I think we'll have enough vehicles there to transport everyone.

Speaking of vehicles - there are a lot this year. Cars, trucks and trailers will have to stay at one of the parking lots - there's only enough room at the lodge for the bikes. Seems like there is a space or two down the drive just above the hairpin turn.

Agreed.
We should check with the park staff to see where they want them.
I was thinking of the parking lot on the right past the booth.

Thanks Stoked Steve for providing us a dry ride to dinner that night.

I don't think staff cares where you park - as long as it's one of the parking lots. I think if you park in the nearest lot - whichever that is, you're good. I mentioned it due to limited space up by the lodge.

My truck and trailer will be parked at the OTG cabin

Dave and I should hopefully be there between 6 and 7pm on Wednesday

Can someone sign OTG in for his cabin? I don't know if the office will be open when we get there. Jim?
