OTG,
Or you can ride my unmolested K-RS. I'll ride the Ducati. Trailer them both down there. Could pick you up at the airport too.
Choices....choices, eh?

I am in central PA. I can not make HM due to the timing, but you are welcome here for a base. Probably a little closer to NY than Va, depending on where in NY though. I can make it to Front Royal VA from here in about 3.5 hours. Shoot me a PM is interested. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Done, confirmed for 4 nights Wed-Sat. Going to hook up with my Sugar Daddy for the ride down.
Now to work out bike details...and request the vacation. I tend to do things backwards like that. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

So for those I haven't met, I live 10 minutes from Hungry Mother, don't have a K11 and may or may not be on call for work this year. Either way, I can bring firewood. Also, I ditched my road bike in lieu of a little Suzuki DR200 and am starting to explore off-road options in the area so if anybody wants to bring a dual sport I can probably act as tour guide. We also have a few good new restaurants in town. Oh, and j o, I'll be sleeping at my house so reckon I'll pass on the spooning! _________________ No motorcycles, just bicycles & a canoe |

This is the Daddy here. Haha.
Excellent!
Looking forward to this. Everyone might want to prepare for the premier HM visit of OTG. Ask Gwen, Scott or Ernie. They have been there, done that. _________________ John & Cathy

Dave - we'll take the firewood - thank you! Hope you have time to join us for dinner. New restaurants sound good.

Good morning all…
Hoping that 2015 is being good to everyone ( so far ) !! John said " just ask"…well in prep for the 'maiden' visit of OTG to HMSP-Vlll…I am laying in an extra supply of hearing aid batteries and Percosets !! Then I thought, what would HMSP be like IF both OTG and Johnny-O were there at the same time ?
Would/Could SouthWest VA ever be the same ??
Best regards all… ride safe….// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

I'm still working on a bike for HM. I have the lodging and transport figured out. I'd love to rent a K-GT or similar. My girl is 5'11, and you guys know what a fkn Yeti I am.
Anyplace close to HM that I can rent a bike?

Dave,
The Hertz of motorcycle rentals is Eagle Rider. http://www.eaglerider.com/reservation/motorcycles
They do have a location in Falls Church, Va and have a BMW R1200RT - no K bikes.
I looked at the trip from L.I. to Falls Church and then to HM. Drive time would be just over 9 hours.
Just a possibility. _________________ John & Cathy

You could try Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA and see if they rent bikes. Sometimes they do. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Well, I officially have the time off and so does my girl. So this is happening. Rented the cabin at HM as well, that's done.
Looks like I'll be there.
John will be meeting us in NY and we will be driving down with him on Wed, the 29th and back (I believe) on Monday the 4th.
Still need to get a bike. I'm 6'3" 290, and Carolyn is 5'11 150 so I'm thinking a full tourer or similar. I'd love to get a GT like John had with his CA trip or maybe an RT or similar. Shit, I'll ride a Harley bagger if need be.
So yeah, when I say I'm going in '15, it means I'm going.

Great.
But how about back north on Sunday?
Most folks bug out on Sunday morning, so nothing going on there after then.
I need to be back in my office on Monday morning.
Where are we getting you a bike?
You are still welcome to ride my RS if your back will allow. Corbin dual tour seat with a backrest. _________________ John & Cathy
