Hy guys,

Two weeks ago when I ran into traffic while going home the bike heated up and the fuel pump was working hard... and I noticed fuel coming out the overflow tube behind the foot peg....
Stopped to let it cool down and opened the fuel tap to let the overheated gas come out...or that is what I thought. Got on the highway and never had that problem again....

I did some researching and found out that the problem is with the charcoal canister and everyone is saying that you need to remove it since it sends charcoal back in the fuel tank and mixes with the gas....saw some videos and it looks horrible ....

My question is , if I want to remove it on a 96 1100Lt what do I need to do ?

Where can I find the canister and what plugs need to be removed ?

Any help can be really appreciated.

Regards,

Idea

Sounds like you might need to do the "johnny blanket" treatment.
There once was a good How-To around here somewhere, but this is as close as I could get.
Page 2 has some photos. You should be able to figure out Johnny's magical blanket from there.

Ain't got a fuel tap either.
What about a flapperectomy ?? UK bikes don't have them.

The author simply asked a question about the blanket application.

I'll edit the title to better explain the post.

Thanks Bill.

If the Stickies are How-To's, it's not.
That's all I meant.
