I need your help tracking down some people from the 1997 Iron Butt Rally.
I’m looking for the owner of this bike from the 1997 Iron Butt Rally.

I MUST know more about those panniers!
That is the ONLY picture I've ever found.
I've contacted several people privately about this as well as asking openly on the LD Rider list. I've spent WEEKS tearing up the internet and this is all I've uncovered.
I'm hoping someone here may know some of these riders and can help me contact them.?

I've accounted for all the BMW's in the 1997 IBR
Eddie James RIP (K100RS) (confirmed not his)
Phillip Mann (K1100RS) (confirmed not his)
Horst Haak (K1100RS)
Craig Tegeler (K1100RS)
Gary Harris (K1100RS)
Below, these BMW's DNF but I never found out if they were or K's or R's
Gary Gottfredson (DNF @ Leg 2)
Richard Shrader (DNF @ Leg 2)
George Barnes (DNF @ Leg 3)
Bob Grange (DNF @ Leg 3)
Daniel Cooper (DNF)
These BMW's were not documented as DNF and NOT listed among the finishers. And I never found out if they were or K's or R's
Herb Anderson (was still in at leg 3)
Boyd Young (was still in at leg 3)
Boyd Young Placed 1995 IBR on a K100RS so he could have ridden it in 1997 IBR.
