Is you K11 too tall?
Here is the deal, I have a Works Performance Short Shock for sale. It has 24,534 miles on it and works great. Eye to eye it measures 14 5/8", at the angle of mounting that gives you about 1". You can slide the forks up in the triple tree a bit, I used 3/4" to level out the adjustment. The bike was always garaged and the shock looks like new! I have the installation instructions.
I ran this way for six years with no handling issues.
It cost me $357 new, I will sell it for $178, that's half price.
I also have a modified center/side stand assembly that I had shortened to match. It's not quite a ride off height but works fine. I will throw that in for another $50 or so.
Let's say $225 for both, plus shipping of course. I will sell separately. _________________ Rod Kilduff

Could you describe how you shortened the center stand? I have the same shock and carry a piece of 3/4" wood to roll the rear up on in order to lift it up on the center stand. Not very convienent. _________________ 93 K1100RS (2up)

I bought a used complete centerstand assembly, carefully measured how much I needed to have removed and took it to a friend who can do welding. He cut out the desired length and rewelded the legs back on. You will have to also shorten the sidestand, due to the way it nests within the centerstand when folded.
The sidestand will no longer hit the rubber bumper under the muffler and you will have to make up some kind of extender to prevent it hitting the metal. I just lived with it and was careful not to hit the muffler hard.
I also made a foot out of a hockey puck. Just drilled a hole in the edge and put an eye screw there. Tied on a string with a loop in the end and kept in in the fairing pocket for easy access. I used when the bike leaned too much on the side stand. _________________ Rod Kilduff
