i would like to know what is the average life span of REAR break pads for a 93 rs

i just went about 19,500 on a set and caught it before almost destroying a rear rotor.

I hate to say it but,,,,,,,,,,,,it depends.............

Type of pad, how much rear brake you use, 1/2 up, loaded/unloaded, etc.....

I know that in the past I had gone thru 2 sets of front pads to 1 set of rears. But I'm probably not a heavy user of the rear brake on a normal basis where I live.

I know in the riders ed class they teach you to create the habit of using both brakes at all time so that your "emergency reaction" uses both brakes.

I just replaced my rear pads after 75K miles of riding. I do not use the rear brake all that much I guess. LOL. Anyway, I did notice that the new Kevlar pads are really nice and almost grabby. They stop the bike wonderfully.
