Hi Guys and Gals

Haven't been around much the last couple of years, few tragic events.

Anyway, my mate has a 16 valve K100RS and he is having problems finding a manual for it.

Main drama is the ABS is flashing and not setting.

Anyone with a manual who is willing to part with it or have it as a PDF, please let me know.

Cheers,

Frank

Frank,

how have you been, you grumpy old bastard?
(Thought I had better get in before Drikko - who doesn't seem to be able to afford razor blades these days).
I have it both as a .pdf and the Clymer manual as well.
You know that you can download it from
http://www.carlsalter.com/bmw-service-manuals.asp
Most ABS flashing problems are related to low battery voltage (ie, get a new battery).
Do you know how to reset the ABS light?
See http://www.largiader.com/abs/absfault.html

cheers,

Andrew

The K1100 Rider Manual is mostly applicable to K1s and K100RS4Vs given how similar the bikes are: http://home.comcast.net/~smithduck/bmw/13tech/manuals/Riders%20Manual%20K1100%20US%20Ver.pdf

Hi Andrew

If you link the pdf or through a server somewhere, that would be great as the http://www.carlsalter.com/bmw-service-manuals.asp. link is not found.

Actually had the bike out yesterday for the Club Lav show. There where only 5 bricks that we saw in the morning. We left at lunch time as we got hungry and wanted to go to the Redlands Bay Hotel but it was crowded as hell.

Cheers Guys

Try this one Frank:

The . at the end of Andrew's link was the problem

What he said (the .).

You must need glasses. My K1100RS was parked 3 rows back and about 5 bikes down from the entry (just near the dark green Kawasaki Z900). I was there from 10.30 am to 12.30pm.

Hi Andrew

We saw that but that was about the limit of the bricks. I was also wearing my KOG shirt.

Cheers

Shoulda looked me up Frank, Pegasus managed to find me after a while Smile

I was hidden away counting the beans....

Oh and I have a K100 8 valve manual here somewhere, I think it has the same ABS as yours but could be wrong. I'll go find it tonight.
