abs brakes were standard on 93 LT's according to literature I have seen.
Did 93 LT's ever come from factory without abs?
Found a bike to buy and current owner (4th) claims it never had it.
Have not seen the bike yet in person.
thanks,

Welcome Dale.
According to page 11 of this original brochure:
http://www.beemergarage.com/documents/bmw19933.pdf
it certainly did.
When and if you go look at it, after confirming that it is a 93 LT, you should be able to see the ABS unit on the left of the bike between the rear tire and the left side cover.
Like this:
Hope that helps!

thanks Bill.
Have seen decent pics of both sides of bike and definitely does not have abs modulators.
Last bike I looked at was a '92 LT and had modulators on both sides.
Obviously one of prior owners has removed abs.
I have no issue with non-abs brakes providing the system was modified properly.
Will probably still check it out but it's a 3 hour drive (one way) for me.
cheers,
Dale |
