All relevant info for the event will be kept in the top post - the update date will change when the post is updated.
I know HMSP VII is 11 months away, and I know that seems like a long way off - but it isn't - it will be here before you know it... (it is a long time for me if I don't get paid for the Lodge).
The Lodge is booked for next year (that means I've paid for it). As in the past, I am not guaranteeing lodging. If you are planning to attend, you need to contact me for payment information.
I'm looking forward to it, and will scout around for a new point of interest to visit. The ride to the top of White Top Mountain this year was very cool. _________________ Jim

G'Evening "Big Jim"...
Hey its early I know, BUT count me in ! Will mail cash as before, but without the hiccups ! Sign me up !
Best regards, ride safe......// Ernie in NH
PS: was thinking ( always dangerous ) that maybe we could order a small load of firewood to be delivered to the lodge for those 5 days. I know there's plenty of people in that area that sell clean, dry firewood... IDEA ?? _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

OK, Ernie - you're in.
It really isn't early - the only way I can be assured of getting the Lodge is to rent it as soon as it's available - which is 11 months before the date we want it. I could wait, but would risk someone else snagging it.
Yeah, getting firewood delivered is appealing. We can buy firewood from the camp - if we're lucky, we can get one of the guys who works there to bring some up in a pick up truck. I think the trick is to ask as soon as we get there. _________________ Jim

Good morning Jim...
Hey... by "early" I meant last day in April..!! At any rate, I'm biking back down to Saltville VA and over to St.PauL at the end of this month, so will check sources of "delivered" firewood other than the camp itself, for an alternative.
Have fun this rainy day.....// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

Maybe our new friend out there would have a source for wood. Hello, Dave. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Hey folks, ran into one of the fellows who was at Hungry Mother this past spring at a rally this weekend (and I'm embarrassed because I've already forgotten your name; met too many people down there!) and he mentioned the firewood request. Gotcha covered; we're 5 minutes away and have plenty of wood. I'll see what I can do about getting some other musicians in on it too; my mandolin buddy has a K1200 so he'll probably be game. _________________ No motorcycles, just bicycles & a canoe |

Cool, Dave. You'll have to smuggle the wood in, though - they're fairly serious about not bringing outside wood in - some kind of beetle or bug, I guess...
Looking forward to seeing you guys - and hearing some good picking! _________________ Jim

Well, I guess I'll have to risk getting busted smuggling wood; think that's a felony. But I do know the head ranger so hopefully he'll let me slide through with some locust & cherry. _________________ No motorcycles, just bicycles & a canoe |

What is smuggling if it's still local and not from out of state...... _________________ Ride safe.

That would have been me, Dave. Great rally this past weekend, eh? I've been going to that rally (Airheads Gathering of the Clans) for years, and it's always a hoot!
Thanks for chiming in on the firewood. _________________ Scot

For those of us who still use "snail mail" ... what is the address again to which the Checks should be sent ?? Somewhere in the gigaTon of paper that is piled on my desk is the single ply sheet on which your address is written... Could you post it or pm it so I at least can get some cash to you !?
Thanks.....// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

Hey folks, this is Big Dave the Marion guy (aka the illegal firewood source). Got the date on the calendar; hope to be riding my '82 R100RT with y'all if you're OK with an airhead joining in!
