I'm looking forward to is as well, been using it as an excuse to buy some things I probably don't need.

New GPS coming soon...no, not a Garmin Zumo, can't quite justify $650+. Just a car Nuvi 50LM with a new GPS mount bracket.

Shown with my current 225WT...

Plus a few other goodies....

I'm in the planning stages. Vacation time is reserved and set.

Need the weather & roads clear to get out and ride a bit. Not too much to do on the bike, it's good therapy anyway.

The real hot question is WTH is Rydor riding out on this year anyway?

Considering how Rydor has been going one or two better each year, I figure that Marco Melandri better keep an eye on all his WSBK rides- one might be missing soon. Laughing

Ridden for a bit! Can't believe it's just a few weeks away,
I feel like a kid outside a candy shop with 5 minutes till opening!

OK Folks...

With the HM event stretching another day, on what evenings are we thinking of the big dinners?

Wednesday at the Marion Mex restaurant

Thursday and Friday at the Lodge? Thoughts about menus? Or at least another dinner out?

Then possibly a smaller dinner on Saturday?

What say you all?

John

I'm thinking along your lines there too John, keep Sat night dinner small, less clean up, more sleep time before Sunday trips home.

Yeah! I'm really lookin' forward to going to a rally where I don't have to take my tent and sleeping bag! This will be somewhat of a new experience for me.

Now, all I gotta do is (hurry the hell up and) get that new front tire bought, mounted, and balanced!

Really looking forward to meeting everybody!

Will there be any tech sessions?

BTW . . . How the hell did I get the handle "Mad Brick Rider" above my avatar? Rolling Eyes

John, I'd think Thursday would possibly be better for the Mex Dinner. Not sure how many would be in early enough Wednesday.
I know myself I haven't totally decided yet if I'm leaving home on Tuesday with on overnight stop, or leaving waaaay early Wednesday morning for a 1 day ride.(which could bring me in after dinner time)

Any good burger joints nearby?

Burgers/ Wednesday night out.

Mexican/ Thursday night as we should have 3/4 of the group by then and I'm sure the place wants to see as MANY of us at one table as possible. And it's fun.

Friday / Spaghetti night ? With salad & Garlic bread.

Saturday night / keep it easy. Order in Pizza. Pizza and Saturday night are my favs.

Nothing set in stone, lots of discussion and so very much can change by then.

See you all real soon.

Guys,

I am planning on leaving early Wed. morning from my sister's house in s.w Connecticut. Should be there around 4. (NOT before 3pm as Jim has always warned us!)

Sounds good for Mex on Thursday as usual.

Isn't there a burger place on the left just before town when we are coming from the park?

Then spaghetti on Friday?

Should be good....I really need some time out of my office.

John

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi all..

Following up a bit on what "omarsbuddy" (aka: Mad Brick Rider ) said re: Tech sessions. As an Airhead rider also, we Airheads have Tech Days where we come together to "chat/eat/and BS" for a day or more, BUT during that time we also discuss and conduct repairs or some form of maintenance on one or more of the attendees old Airheads (bikes). The last Tech session I attended in VT we did 'fork seal replacements','spline lubes', and 'rocker assembly adjusments'..
There is a lot of stuff on the "K" bikes that require regular attention and maybe all of us could benefit from having one/more of the experienced "K" bike owners show us all how something like a "drive shaft spline lube" is actually done... or perhaps "fork oil change out"...???
Just a thought, but it might add a new dimension to our now annual VA meeting.

Hoping to see you all there on that opening Wednesday....

Very best regards, ride safe.....// Ernie in NH
