My wife wants a ride on a Harley, I checked rentals are quite expensive. If I dill holes in the exhaust pipe and cover the BMW logos, maybe I could trick her into thinking it's a Harley? Laughing

Remember to ride slowly, and drag something big and metallic on the floor when you corner

You can do a free test ride at a dealership provided you have a license, pants, and closed toed shoes.

NO NO NO Don't do that or you'll definitely have to buy one!!!!!

Just remind her she'll have to get the tramp stamp to suit and have her watch this video:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=r2ERfv15EsI

I like the sig of one of the ADV people "Harley Davidson, the best way to convert petrol to noise without the side effect of horsepower"

Make sure that the one you ride has a "Guardian Bell"

Don't ask- but if you must, do a search on the ADV website.

Bwa ha ha.

And DON'T touch the front brake lever!!

According to many H-D riders, using the front brake will have you go over the handlebars. Shocked Laughing Laughing

Don't be silly Blair, ask for a rubber band, stick the license on your head and use the rubber band to keep it there. Works just as well as the pudding bowl helmets....

I saw a 05 Suzuki S50 for about $2500.
Rides nice, light (well lighter than a K1100) nimble, and LOTSA pep.

That and LOTS of HD stickers? Imitate a Sporteter? &Leather? &Noise?

The HD Chuckle
Thoughts of dinosaurs come to mind
When I hear their noise, then turn to find
An aging tractor, with but two wheels
Then I wonder how, an Aussie feels
When riding on, an old world Yank
Made from the leftovers, of a Sherman tank
With chrome bits stuck on wherever they can
While some of their riders, call everyone “Man”

With bikes that don’t, handle or lean
Those riders remain, ever so keen
To hide their identity, and pretend to be Yanks
As they rattle down roads, on their recycled tanks

With bugs between teeth, their owners ride
Too cool to have, their faces inside
A full faced helmet, or they may not see
Their reflections in shops, while passed so slowly

The oil is changed each time they ride
With a total loss system, there’s none left inside
They don’t have oil leaks, they just leave their mark
You can see where they’ve been, each time they park

There’s always a mate who owns a Ute
Ready on call, for the broken down brute
But they never look good, in the back of Utes
These lady’s vibrator substitutes

Cheaper to rent... Kind of like the test drive at dealership, especially the price Wink
