K1100 RS/LT Exhaust
The part number indicates this is the European spec exhaust system and is stamped with 1812 1457 168 for the 1992 thru 1996 K1100's. It is interchangeable with part number 1832 1464 582 and 1832 9062 609. The European system does not have the oxygen sensor lug installed between the catalytic converter and the muffler. The indent for the lug is there and a lug could easily be installed. System is in nearly new condition with no rust or dents. Chrome is bright looks like new. It was removed early on and replaced with a Remus system. There are no dents in the header tubes and no cracks (or repaired cracks) in the tubes or collector (the European spec header tubes and collector weren't prone to cracking like the US spec). Cost new is $1958.00. Save 85%
$289.00 plus shipping. Or make me an offer if it hasn't sold fairly quickly.
Shipping weight 22 lbs. Dimensions 50"x19"x10" Should be less than $30.00 Ships from 98110

Very nice! If I didn't have an exhaust system hanging on my living room wall already, I'd sure grab this one...

Hey there,

I bought this from you on eBay! Do you have any suggestions for installing the O2 sensor or can I disconnect and run the bike without it? My old exhaust is cracked and nasty but I suppose I may be able to cut out the lug from it and perhaps weld it into the new one, or is there a better way? Thanks.

If you want to run it w/o O2 sensor, you should change your motronic for a non-cat one, like we have in some european countries (I might even have one) and you need an "IDLE REGULATING VALVE" (part# 13621461425) that you'll have to adjust with a CO analyzer. I think the mileage will drop a bit, at least I experienced it the other way from a non-cat K11 to a cat one, and I know a guy who has both a cat and non-cat K1 who found out the same thing.

IIRC, Scott_Anderson has run his K-LT with the 02 sensor disconnected with no problems.

Maybe he will be along to further explain.

Yes, as John has mentioned I have run mine with the sensor disconnected.
I didn't notice any performance issues, but I didn't have the exhaust analysed either.......
I seem to have been running a rich mixture with or without it connected. I still turn the output of my exhaust can black, not brown. Maybe my riding habits, hard to tell.
Engine aspects aside, consider the legal aspects of disabled emissions in your state if/when you sell the bike or move to a state with emissions inspections.

A good machine shop should be able to look at your old exhaust and weld you in a fitting for the sensor at a reasonable price.
