My K1100RS was originally owned by the MD of a company that was in the same business as I was. When I first met him I didn't know he owned this bike but he sold it after a year to an American living and working in France. The American was also in the same business as the both of us but at that time he was unknown to me. A year later, after a company merger he was my boss! A year after that he relocated back to the San Francisco area and he liked the bike so much he had it crated up and shipped to California. He then spent a year trying to get it registered (if thats the right term) however, as it was a UK bike with no cat, he was unable to make it legal to ride in the US. He shipped it back to the UK and asked me if I could try and sell it for him. In the end I bought it for £4K which I thought was a good price. By this time, the bike was 3 years old and had 7K miles on the clock but had done more miles in the air than on the road! _________________ 1980 CB900FA

In the years time he tried to register it, it's a wonder he just didn't buy a cat equiped exhaust. problem solved.
Good for you though in the end.
But then again, he was dealing with California emissions........ _________________ Ride safe.
