So I laid my '96 K1100RS down. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Put it all back together...but without the scraped up belly pan. Lo and behold...the thing runs cool. 87 degrees here yesterday...temp never went much over the center mark on the gauge. Fan never came on.
So my question...What do I need to convert to the older style (K100) fairing?
It should all bolt on...right?
Thx - J. |

It is all a bolt on. You will need new upper side panels, new kneepads and some minor rubber insulation. There is the lower bracket that mounts the belly pan to the motor, that can come off. I think that is all. I went the other way, old K100RS, and got the "kit" that they used to sell to convert to K1100RS fairing. Sorry not parting with my old parts.
