OK Rob, Andrew, Keith lets organise a pissup somewhere between Adelaid and brisvegas, Amd thinking Nyngan or Cobar. An easy 1000ks away from pretty much everywhere. Either that or Rob it looks like I'm going to Phillip Is to see Casey's last MotoGP.
Would suggest the latest we want to go to Nyngan/Cobar would be late September. Plenty of pubs to stay in either of those places

Whilst the idea of a good ride appeals to me, work commitments are pretty much keeping me grounded at the moment, at least until after Christmas. |

OK so I just booked camping and GA tickets, and also the turn 1 GP hub so I can get some shelter from the shit weather they seem to have down there!
So CK, there's a few of us heading down a few days early, take all the twisties down NSW and Vic, Might just newell it back (boring I know).
You might have seen that the Laverda Concours got postponed again, new date is 12th August, if it doesn't get washed out again how about coming along and finding me for a chat. I'm on the event staff so anyone with event jerseys will know me.
Either that or lets go for a ride one weekend, usual circuit. _________________ K1100RS '97

Drikko,
EXCELLENT! A Southern Hemisphere "Hungry". You are the trend setter.
Of course we expect LOTS of pictures of the event- like we were there.
Whether you guys get to the MotoGP race or not, wish I could be there.
Best of luck with HDB 1
John
BTW, I admire Casey for stopping when HE wants but damn he can ride that HRC bike. He will be missed because of his unearthly skill. Just watching some of the YouTube video of CS drifting BOTH ends of his bike is amazing. _________________ John & Cathy

No worries John, box brownie locked and loaded.
So I'm thinking 3 days down, leave Wednesday morning, arrive Friday arvo at track, get 3 day pass which is cheaper than Saturday and Sunday only. Drink piss Friday and Saturday nights, leave late Sunday arvo, get back by Tuesday sometimne, so a week off in all.
Might leave a day earlier than that, to take in some more of the alps. The direct route is 2000ks each way so would like to split it up a bit.
There's a discussion started on the BMWMCQ.org.au site as well although you have to be a member. _________________ K1100RS '97

Can't seem to cut the piss for 5 days straight without a decent bed to sleep in anymore...it might change when the $$$$ quote shocks me back to reality though |

4 nights in a mud born hotel , 3 day bass straight grandstand pass with transfers = $1127.
A bit excessive for a good nights sleep perhaps.
Maybe this princess should harden the fuck up |

Got camping stuff, just being a soft c*$%.
Start with getting holidays approved, hopefully tommorrow & work from there.
50 shekels a bit steep for bmwmcq membership ,but rather ironic that i'm a tight ass when one considers how much i'm pondering spending on the trip.

I agree, and you get bugger all from them in return and Chris at the BM Shop gives you the discount anyway, The Laverda Club is only $25 and they supply the booze and food on some of the trips, well worth it! I know as I'm the treasurer
If you turn up to the CLQ meeting on your bike (you don't need a Lavenda) you get a free drink, so that's $60 right there!
Morgan and Wankers give a club discount for the BM club but I never go there anyway. _________________ K1100RS '97

Yeah, received my tickets too, dumped on the doorstep even though they required a signature, well done OZ Post!
Just to complicate the arrangements the Lav Club is having a run to Bellingen the weekend befor GP. Bellingen is just behind Coffs Harbour. The good part of it is I will already be halfway to Sydney, Are you able to leave on Tuesday to get to Coffs by Tuesday night? We can leave from there on Wednesday mornin makeing it an easy 2 days ride through the mountinas (have a route already designed, lots of twieties!) getting there Thursday arvo to get better camping spots ie away from the dunnies! _________________ K1100RS '97
