Not a good video to get out - all the new riders (and lots of H-D guys too)

already are afraid of the front brake.

Darryl,

I saw mention of this on advrider.com.

One thought (probably valid) is that the bike was hard braking on the steel rails because the pedestrian ran in front of him. This most likely confused the ABS, releasing the front brake. Then part of the tire probably found some pavement traction and locked up quickly.

As advanced as modern ABS is, instant changes in surface friction might momentarily confuse its brain.
