Took advantage of this early Spring and rode the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville NC....
Chris and his '87 K75C, my '87 Motorsport....K bikes! His bike is older than he is!! Lunch in Murphy NC.
The highest point of the BRP....over 6000 feet above sea level....
I can see for miles.......looking back from where we came......
"At once the clouds are parted"....."Light streaks down in bright unbroken beams".......
ME..Chris..Jimmy..Gerald and Dave....3 generations of riders.....
One moment in time.....When I plan a ride, I know there will be a moment when
I have arrived.....like a bullet shot in to the sky, for one moment it is frozen, it is neither escaping nor surrendering.......
The Parkway was wide open....the season doesnt open till April, and normally is un-ridable due to the high altitude weather....clear roads and no traffic!! |

Looks like fun. We rolled under the parkway near Ashville on the way home from St Patricks Day in Savannah. Outstanding weather for March.
