Hi,
I always thought these stop-leak products were a rip off but having watched my RMS steadily deteriorate I tried the Wynns product.
Now whilst it never leaked bad enough to drip on the garage floor the whole underside of the bell-housing back to the gearbox was always covered in oil.
One bottle of Wynns and it seems to have stopped - it's gradually improved over the 800 miles since adding it and now for 400 miles it's been completely dry.
Is this typical or am I lucky?
And no, I don't work for Wynns!

I've had good luck with additives that soften oil seals and stop or slow down leaks. Don"t remember which brand. _________________ '93 K1100LT

We had a similar rear main seal leak in our airhead.
It was very slight and we had accidently dried out the seal and so we quickly applied the gook to the job as per instructions and it worked quickly and well.
No affiliation.

If it works then why not use it?
YMMV |
