I have a 1993 K1100LT sidecar rig and am silly enough to ride year around in Michigan. The owner's manual says to change the oil every 30 days if the bike is used in temperatures under 32 F. The bike does reach normal operating temperature, and my average trip is more than enough to keep her at operating temp for 20+ minutes, so I'm not seeing a reason for changing the oil once a month.
Oil is cheap, I have more fun things to do than change it....

Personally I would not change bike motor oil more often in cold weather than in warmer circumstances - oil change interval in my cars is the same in the summer and in the Finnish winter. _________________ K1100LT -93 | ex K1100LT/SE -94 |
