I'll be selling on my 97 K1100LT very soon, all due to a case of OB, (Over-Bike) and the fact I haven't turnd a wheel seriously on it in the best part of a year.
It's too much of a fiddle getting it on and off the yard for the short hop to work and i just haven't had the time (or weather when I have ahd the time) to enjoy it on longer trips.
It has a brand new front tyre and will have a brand new rear tehn will be MOT'd and taxed.
97, silver, recent service, oil, filters, plugs, good battery, always kept topped up on trickle over winter hibernation, full luggage, ABS works, heated grips work, fan works, oil/water pump seals changed about a year ago.
So anyone UK based guys looking and interested give me a shout, also i'd appreciate some info as to current worth?
I really like this bike, it's the comfiest i've ridden bar none but having just gotten an Armstrong MT500 (ex MOD) which is a true live outdoors, use daily machine, no chrome to tarnish and rust and touch up with olive drab.
A mito evo in the shed part stripped awaiting its rebuild and the ZXR750, also neglected as thats my nice weather sports machine and we've not had much nice weather i think i need to minimise them and actually ride the ones I plan to keep.
Cheers,

An average condition bike of your age with 70K miles would fetch over £2k on Ebay, But some would be put off by the cost (time & money) of collection due to your location.

That's very helpful Tim. Thanks
I was planning on pricing it around £1800 anyway due to the mileage being a bit higher but the engine is rock solid.
Location wouldn't be a problem re collection / delivery as i'd offer (as I always happily do with bikes I've sold previously), to ride it to anywhere in the UK for fuel, return and overnight costs, i'd ride this one to the continent!
I work on the principal too that it bestows a measure of faith if a buyer can't get to view first, after all the questions have been exhausted if they know i'll happily ride it 600 miles to them it must be as I describe it.
(i've bought and sold a few on ebay and on the whole most folks are genuine re describing but the odd few aren't)
Will get some pics on here when I can though I know that there aren't that many UK brickies on here _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, de-briefed or numbered! |

Mike, not that I'm promoting you to sell your steed, but here's a uk based forum that you might try. there is both German and English "sides" to post on.
Maybe there would be someone closer to you that might be interested.

Thanks, i'd actually stopped using that site in favour of this one a few years ago when it migrated, it seemed to lose the non german side of things and what was there appeared to get buried but i haven't checked it in a good while.
As i've already said, i'd happily keep it for the odd one off epic journey if storage and such weren't a problem but i really do need to thin out and it's all about balance. I wouldn't rule out another K in the future though, but i'd maybe try a boxer as i've never had one of those.
Anyway, heres a couple pictures.

Yea, I know what you are saying there. I don't frequent it much either since then as well. For the very same reason. Not very active and what activity there was, wasn't very usefull.
I still like the links to Pezi's tech pages though. _________________ Ride safe.
