Got chating to a friend at my archery club when I turned up on my K, he starts talking bikes and it turns out he has a ZZR 600 and a ZZR 1200, the latter not been used for 2 years due to chain and sprocket issues so he asks me if i'm interested in taking it off his hands. The obvious question? How much says I, well if you can trailor it away this Sunday you can have it for free as I need some space. Even cheaper than Ebay thinks me so I'm off tomorrow to collect it. Not seen it yet but it has to be a 2002 model or younger as they only did the production run in 2002 to 2005. 160 horses under my mass. will post a pic or two and a report when I get it back.

You see John... some guys DO have all the luck..eh? A ZZ free, can you imagine. There's no way I could turn that down but can you imagine what your Cathy or my wife would say if we dragged yet another bike into the garage.. free or not ?? Despite that, I think I'll run down to the Polo Club and see if anyone has an Aston Martin or such thats just 'taking up space'...

Have fun with the Drive Train work today.... I'm taking 'Cloud 9' over to Portland in a while to meet my new grandson !! ( 05:05 this morning !! )

stop press, the guy lied to me, it wasn't a zzr 1200 at all, it is a ZZR1100 in Irn-Bru livery.

Still a freebie, nearly mint on the outside. loads of meat on the rubber, new monoshock for it's last mot, full service history. Needs chain, sprockets, fork seals. It's not been run for more than 2 years and it started on it's own battery without a charge.
couple of pics when I got home with the 147 HP beast.
I still can't believe it's now mine......
Oh, and a box of spares.

Did you check it isn't hocked to the hilt or has a trail of unpaid speeding fines?

Im gonna do an HPI check on it tomorrow. I have proof of when I was given it if there is a string of speeding tickets so looks like a bargain to me.

I wouldn't think speeding tickets would cause an issue as much as an unpaid loan on it.
Here in these parts the speeding tickets go against the operator not the vehicle. (unless its one of those camera tickets)
They are trying to pass in the legal system here that if you have any upaid tickets you cannot renew your operating license with out paying the tickets.
