got a hold of an older 1200 engne+computer. was wonderng could there be any benefts from swapng anythng from the 1200 to my 1100LT (camshafts/valve sprngs/valves/heads/rods) w/o any hard labor?? just came across my thoughts.  _________________ 1993 K1100 LT |

I think about the only thing you could do would be to put the whole motor in.
Drake had one with a 1200 motor in it. He's sold it now I believe. _________________ Ride safe.

Hello!
Swapping whole motor requires also proper oil pump with oil cooler. As far as I know K1200 share the same cam shafts with K1 and K100 16V, form Flying Brick I know them as "hot cams", and it is told that after tuning ECU that could give a real kick to K1100.
I've seen also report about using K1200 throttle bodies and fuel rail with good results.
